Making his return tour of meeting up with people he hadn't seen in years, Riley found himself at a pub with a bunch of old friends. As they were all leaving, Riley spotted another familiar face sitting at the bar, making sure to say hi before heading out. "Well, well, well," he started before finding an empty barstool next to Gen. "If it isn't Genoveva Marrero," he smiled and leaned on the bar beside her, "How's it going?"

Where: Legal Lighthouse

When: March 2024

"Gen, I swear it wasn't me-" Archie said as he sat opposite his lawyer in that familiar office just like he had numerous times. Despite his parents having a good lawyer on retainer, he figured he'd have his own on speed dial as an adult; especially since he could sometimes get into some trouble around town. This time he was caught in the passenger seat of a car while it was drag racing, and with him being known in town, they hauled him in on a charge of illegal street racing. "I wasn't driving this time." He threw his hands up in defense.

Where: a yard sale

Ever since she could remember, Jo had loved yard sales. She knew it was mostly for a bargain, but she also enjoyed getting stuff that had already been used. Stuff that wasn't brand new and shiny. She was often at the Treasure Chest for this reason, as well as seeing her best friend, but she really enjoyed yard sales when she could make time for it. While looking at a stand, she accidentally bumped into someone who was looking at the same one. "Oh sorry," she said when saw what the woman was holding and nodded, "what a good find!"

Where: The Human Bean

Camila came here to grab a bite to eat after a long day of work in the lab. She loved it, her research, the team, the work. It was all more than she could've asked for. Well, no. She maybe would've asked for a little more women on the team but they offered her a position and she could hardly complain. While she thoroughly enjoyed it, it was some times a lot. Tonight, she didn't have the strength to cook. And she wanted to be outside a little bit. So here she was, book on the table, coffee in hand, a little treat. As she was enjoying her meal, she stopped Gen who was passing by. "Gen,hey! I'm sorry to bother you, you're probably headed somewhere but... Where did you get your sweater? It looks so comfortable!"

Sarai could not believe her luck; if she’d just stayed put at work, she would be home now. Instead, she’d caved to the niggling fear about the storm and ended up stranded in the spa. At least she had some basics though, and plenty to share with everyone. Leaving the main room, she went in search of somewhere with a table where they might be able to lay some of it out, and came across one of the other occupants with a similar thought. “I have peanut butter and jelly,” Sarai said with a laugh, “and cheese and crackers that I suppose we should probably eat.” She didn’t like the idea of saving that until she could get home again.

Though he should go straight away to find the Auror in charge - Moody, he thought, or maybe Marchand - Archie had a different destination. Gen's letters had been full of information about her change in circumstances and her new partner and how little she liked being around him. She'd taken to working in an empty classroom most of the time and her letters had given enough details that he could find it, he thought. So he set out through the castle, glad that during this time of day, most of the students and adults were occupied and he didn’t have to answer any awkward questions. 

It didn’t take a terribly long time to find the classroom, based on her descriptions. The door was open and she faced away from it, busy with something on the desk in front of her, which gave Archie the opportunity to just watch her for a moment. He loved Gen with everything in him, and being separated had been much harder than he anticipated. It had been natural to leap at the possibility of assignment here. After a moment of watching her work, he cleared his throat and stepped inside, pushing the door shut behind him. “Genevieve, darling, I’ve been reassigned.”
