This week I decided to do @askstellarandfriends's Gem Shine. Since she's part draconequus, or a draconicorn as she's described herself, I thought it might be fun for her to explore a dimension all her own! I figured it'd be all fun colors and sparkles that would even dazzle her universe's mom!

(Play Wright vaguely explains this in Musicals so I'll explain it here. Some time after he settled down in Ponyville, he came across Gem Shine who was only a baby. After having no luck finding her parents, it was recommended that he become Gem's guardian due to the draconecorn's attachment to him. Since she was still very young, she took to calling Play Wright "Uncah" not knowing how to properly pronounce "Uncle". The nickname stuck over the years and Play Wright took up the role of parental figure for Gem Shine. Later on, when Song Note introduced Play Wright to his adopted family (Celestia, Discord and their daughter), Discord figures out that Gem is from another universe, much like the pink earth pony. They decide to leave Gem Shine in Play Wright's care despite the fact that Discord would have been able to help teach her how to use her magic.)

(I know I should be working on my NaNoWriMo project but I had to draw this cutie. This is Gem Shine, what I believe to be a Raricord ship kid that I adopted about a month ago but couldn't draw till now since I was working on the Fiends Horror List. I absolutely love her design though. I have something special planned for her in the Casterverse (MLP Story Ask Blog Universe) Sorry for not drawing her sooner.)
