Today I learned
cats can develop during pregnancy in two separate halves, a left and a right.
each half has their own identity and can survive until birth, since the umbilical cord feeds them nutrient rich blood.
they unfortunately lack the necessary body parts to survive without that and so they die when born.
imagine your cat giving birth to a cat split down the middle.
imagine trying to sleep at night after that, especially since they would be alive like that for a short while.
that's horrific.
