I became addicted to Kali Uchis over night. She has a mixtape called drunken babble & I can listen to every song on repeat which is exactly what i’ve been doing. Nice spring/summer time feel…airy and bubbly with a cynical undertone. Reminds me of something out of Cali but I think she hails from VA and originated from Colombia. How I initially got on her was from her ‘Por Vida’ (Down for Life) teaser which is a good representative of her whole style which is so organic & Im totally with… Check her out if you need something new to vibe to.

At odds with the world because in its posture I find it hard to create or play. It always seems to be me pushing against the world and feeling the world push back against me.   I release the tension to follow my true nature, out of darkness I emerge with new enlightenment...everything can change, though nothing is different.  The key is Perspective.

The only person that can understand you is YOU. if its something you wanna do, live to your fullest potential. Its not about being happy all the time, thats life & the emotions of a human are always a roller coaster ride. The illusion is that you can be regular and content with just doing whats expected of you. Don't be content with comfort, sometimes you're gonna doubt yourself & the most brilliant things are gonna bring yourself and others great discomfort.
