going public gearing (wearing a blank mask) at spirit halloween this afternoon.. wish me luck 🙏🙏
“The heart of US fast battleships, the reduction gears! A man is shown deburring the edges of teeth with a file. They offered almost 10-1 reduction to allow the turbines to run at much higher and more efficient rpm. These are some of the most critical components of the powerplant and one of the things which allowed long ranges in US battleships."
"While steaming with HMS duke of york, USS NORTH CAROLINA (BB-55) was found to burn 39% less fuel at the same speed while her hull required more power to achieve that speed than the British ship. Note that they are double helix which eliminates axial thrust while providing the quieter running and increased strength of helically cut gears.”
These reduction gears are most likely intended for USS MISSOURI (BB-63).

6.1 Gearing
Pro tip time!
If you’re still trying to grind to 306 (or get an alt there) and hate grouping with strangers the story mode version of Maelstrom Prison is currently *not* level synced. So you're going in as level 75 and all your enemies are around level 37. Doing the whole flashpoint took me less than 10 minutes even with completing the bonus objectives (mostly because my guardian jumped on things and they died). Maelstrom Prison is also great because there's a bonus boss even in story mode, so you have 4 chances at getting better gear instead of the normal 3.
Only downside of course is that Maelstrom Prison is a Republic-only flashpoint and I've yet to find anything Imp side that is quite as fast as it.

After 19 days of work and many, MANY meta runs, hair pulling, misclicks, and more times being downed by frogs than I want to count, I have been rewarded with this stupid Ascended fuckinkjdsjfasjkdfjjkfkjd̡j̹̲̲̞͎ͅk̼̰͓a͇̘̥̪j͏̟̼̟̯̭̠̥f͈̮̭̮̹̮͔j̯k҉̯͍̣̠̱a̝̝s̛͉̙͉j̡̜͚̝̩̼̰̲u̦̖o̸̫̦͓̳͠ͅf̴͖̰͍̻̙̫̰͖̬ḳ̴͕͎̘́͝a̟͉͓͚̥j̭͚̥̻̰͔̖͔̳́k̷̢̩͉̺͈͔͘s͏̷̭d̷̩̖̫̼̹͖̬k͖͖̪̭̤̫͉̠j̢̙͍͢f̸͈͔͘ à̸̧̪͎̭͎̯̺͔̝͚̭͕̪̥̗̳̟̕ͅs̴̸̨͏҉̳̗ͅd̸̀͞͡҉̤̭̞͎͇̠̪̙̪s̢͟҉̟͎̥͇̟̜̞͖͎͈̙̙̩̟̝̙̲d̠̪͉̝̼͉̦̮̰̞̼̪̱̪̱͎̣̀͜͝͠f̱͙̮͙͟͠j̡̱̘͉̬͝͝k̮͉͍̹̰͎͓̰̜̞͙̜̻͘̕͢͟͠j͟͟͏̵̡̥̘̘̻͓͓͔k͜͜҉̵̘͓͎͙͝s̮̹̝̜̯̭͚͔͖̕f̷̖̝̙̦̪̲̰̼͖̹͚͕̰͙̮̥̀͡d̶̵̺͎̝͈̯͕̱̼̣̣͙̬͍̯̜̙́͠a̶̛͈̩̤̘͓͉͎̰͟j̡̣̳̗̪̱͉͟͝k̶̵̭̖̣̫͚̬̯͓͕̰͚̲̳̘̣̝̝̀̕ͅs̢̩̜͉̹͍̼̺̺̳̪̗͢͠͝ͅa̴̵̧̼̱̫̠͚ͅj̞̦̯̱̰̜̖̻͚͚͈̠͚͎͖͇̤̖̤͢k͡͏̧͔̬̲̜̖̀͡d̢̪͉͎͎̬̰͈̬̰̻̪͟j҉͙̙̙̥̤̥͔̣̩̮͟ͅk̶͜҉̛̬͉̻̱͓͉͈̮̗͎̤̲s̷̡͘҉̣̭͔̟̼̯̦͚̙͚̲̖̲d͍̘̜̺̣̀̕̕f̸̼̣̻̻̱̳̙̜̤͙̗̠̼͕̭̭

Hey! My friend (arkamos-aurelius) said you were really good at healing in swtor. And that you might be open to giving noobies advice. Would you happen to know any tips or guides for a sorc build? Most guides I find are really old or confusing. And I am not sure *where* to practice healing. Thanks!
Hello! I am so sorry for not getting back to you, but yes! Absolutely I am open to helping anyone who wants to learn. ^_^
So first off, the easy part, where to practice healing is anywhere and everywhere. PVP and Master Mode flashpoints are my main suggestions. Do be aware though that in PVP you will be focus targeted as the healer. Master Mode Flashpoints are good as you have a tank and your dps can’t click kolto stations making your healing pointless (might be salty over this lols). Another suggestion and one which I personally very much dislike, but will admit is a good way to prove how far you can go, is solo healing story mode operations with one or no tanks. Otherwise healing a friend or companion through heroics, soloing veteran flashpoints, and such are all good ways to practice. The only bad way in my opinion is not doing anything to practice beyond the healing dummy in Rishi. Get out there and put yourself into situations where healing is needed and you get to learn what works and what doesn’t.
Now moving onto Sorc Healer Build, I’ll start with utilities. The ones I use and given to me by a Nightmare mode healer are;
Sith Defiance (less damage to you is more healing for your group)
Empty Body (healing on yourself is more effective and thus less energy spent that could be used on your group)
Suppression (extra cooldown in the form of your aggro drop which you should be using off of cooldown)
Dark Resilience (extra healing from your self heal)
Shapeless Spirit (kind of situational but good for when you get stunned a lot or there is a lot of area damage going out)
Surging Speed (more cooldowns and you move fast and for longer)
Force Mobility (you want to be standing still as little as possible)
Unnatural Vigor (your self heal becomes another cooldown and much more useful)
As for armoring, I suggestion going only up to 1900 points of alacrity. You should first start with critical points though and get to 45% and up. My personal stats with full 248 gear that is augmented with 240s is 1914 alac and 1914 crit. That was completely by accident btw. X’D Idk how I got it perfectly balanced. If need be, I’ll add pictures and show you exactly how many of each augment, enhancement, and left side pieces that I have. The reason for this as alacrity has a bit of what is known as a hard cap meaning it becomes pretty much useless to have more than that as the next cap where it shows any use of having that much alacrity is 3000 points. Critical meanwhile you might hear people saying it has a soft cap which means that while it is technically capped at 40%, you still want those extra percentages as they still prove useful. So when gearing, focus more critical than alacrity, but don’t ignore either one.
Now for rotation… That’s harder. X’D I have mine down, but I think I teach it best if I do it in game and in voice as that’s how I learned. If you want it though, I can do my best to teach it. So let me know if you want to rotation as well. :) Feel free to ask me more any time! If anything is confusing or needs clarifying, let me know and I’ll do my best to clear it up. ^_^
