the gear cube
it took me about three weeks, 30 pages, a full tube a glue, a cardboard box, two brushes, a giant popsickle stick, two chopsticks, three drinking straws, a small blade, two utility knives and about five hundred neurons but here it is. the final version of the cube, it is done and it works and its beautiful.
Mechanical Papercraft: Gear Cube
My most diffcult build to this day, the moving Gear Cube, made of 12 individual gears connected by a rod to the base. Slowly turn the handle and see the cube evolve into a chaos of gears only to get back into its original cubic shape.
You can see the progress, which took around 1 1/2 years to complete, due to me being fed up on a regular basis with the insane amount of glue tabs and folds.

Well, maybe I shouldn't say sexiest, but "most pleasing to my ear" for certain. The man is a genius with twisty puzzles too. He invented the geared cube for christs sake!
