It’s that time again! Glendale is holding up its third visit week starting from Friday, August 19th to Monday, August 22nd. For those who’re still new to the group, this is an event that occurs every few months and allows members to play as visitors ( family members, friends, old acquaintances, etc ) and interact with one another, as well as residents of Glendale, both patients and staff alike. In-character wise, the residents will be informed and helped to prepare for this, and the cafetaria will be mostly cleared and used as their meeting spot but they can roam elsewhere once they’ve been inspected carefully by the orderlies and guards. This hopefully will help you explore and develop your characters’ background even deeper.
Faceclaim reservations will be opened on Monday, August 8th and members may begin to reserve the faceclaims for their characters’ visitors, those who’ve been reserved will be unavailable to possible applicants until the event is over. The main will post the beginning of this event at 10 am EST on Friday, and can start posting and replying to threads. Previous visitor faceclaim list [ x ]
Here’s a few reminders we would also encourage you to read!
Visits begin at 10 AM to 5 PM each day, but ongoing threads may continue for as long as you’d like.
First come first serve for faceclaim reservations, so we’d advise you start thinking on which faceclaims and what kind of visitors you’re going to use from now on. That said, it’s a three-day event but you don’t have to bring all of those characters you’ve planned. Sometimes life gets in the way and we can’t participate fully, and that’s okay.
Visitors can bring gifts but they’ll be inspected thoroughly by the orderlies and guards. No sharp objects, laces, drugs, cigarettes, or alcohol.
The main meeting place is in the cafetaria, but they can explore later on.
Not all members have to play visitors, they can simply write their main characters observing the event if they don’t have any.
Be realistic, shouting and fighting will attract staff members.
You are allowed to have two starters a day. The starter rule still applies and you’ll need to reply to at least two starters before posting your own ( both event and non-event ) unless you’ve run out of starters to reply to.
Non-event threads may continue still, but you’re welcome to focus on event threads until the event is done.
Wait for the main’s post before starting the event.
Have fun! If you have any questions or would like a time change, feel free to contact the main and we’ll gladly discuss it with you!
