Hi, I'm going to be in Montreal for a few days at the end of May/beginning of June. In terms of things to not miss while I'm there (places, foods, etc), what should I be sure to see? Also, if you have any restaurant recommendations, I'd be very grateful. I figured someone who actually lives there would have a better idea of what to see than a guidebook. Thank you!
Oooh check out the Festival schedules. There’s always a festival SOMEWHERE. If you are here Mat 22 to 24, it’s Montreal’s comic festival -in a park!- and I’ll be there, so come say hi!
As for the food, well Montreal is a big city so you have a big variety of food and restaurants from all parts of the world. Downtown is full of them.Â
As for places, well the Old Port and Old Montreal, Quartier des Spectacles, Ste-Catherine and St-Denis streets near Berri-Uqam metro station, Mont-Royal, and if the day is ugly, the Montreal Underground (that’s actually like, eight underground malls all connected, but it makes for a nice day).
I hope you enjoy your stay!
