#gbpatch games

This is the game I’ve proudly supported both from kickstarter and as a now two year patron of GBpatch games. I’ve watched this game grow from initial patreon polling. I’ve been part of the beta testing, given a lot of feedback, suggestions, and encouragement. This small dev team deserves all the love for this wonderful game. They’ve put their heart into this project and I know it shows. Just like Cove I am also a demisexual and it’s the first game where a character actually struggled with some of the same issues that I have and did as a young kid trying to figure out my feelings and why I was different than other teens around me. I didn’t seem to see attractiveness the same way and such and at times I’m still that way even into my 40s.

This game is so refreshing and honest. I hope you let this game wrap you up in it's fuzzy blanket of comfy cozy. Cove will be your best friend, your love for life, or just the guy that lives next door. it's your story you get to play it the way you want to including the way your character looks, pronouns, sexual and romantic attraction. even how your character feels about their bodies is covered and there is no limit on who your character is when struggling with those issues. Cove is right there, being *so* supportive.

in my last playthrough I had a shy tiny NB that eventually decided on she in the last step but still wasn't really comfortable with her body. she used humor sometimes to hide her discomfort, stayed quite, or looked toward Cove for comfort. Cove eventually grew braver, stronger and more outgoing in response to my shy baby. (as I called them while I played) Cove took initiative in all steps to either hold my baby's hand, hold her close by giving her lots of hugs and when neither could stop themselves several kisses. it was such a sweet playthough. I was in literal tears when I finished. :)  This game means the world to me. 

 I see myself in Cove so much.   he’s quite, over emotional, and has a hard time expressing his feelings, but if you give him a chance he’ll give you the world. 

*and if you are not interested in guys you can always play the game platonically.  asexuality and arosexuality are also  valid choices in the game as well. nothing is forced at all.)    the whole journey includes Cove’s struggle with understanding his own sexuality so it would be weird for the game to force one on the player.*

there will be a second game with with two lead romances one female and one amab the later transitions to they/them.  gbpatch thought it would be lame to have Beginnings and Always to have Cove as the big main lead and then give people that want to see a female LI or an NB as some side optional paid dlc.  They wanted to make sure they get just as much attention and love as Cove does in this game.  So later when you see that *this* game is getting two addtional LI’s and they are both dudes don’t be upset. that was the plan all along. :)
