Tokyo streets One thing that struck me about Tokyo was how compact everything is and how to the point they are about simplicity and only using up what is truly needed. That goes for their living spaces, vehicles, shops, bars (etc) everything is small. Perhaps uncomfortably small. And of course, this is the case almost everywhere else in the world except the US. As Americans we are used to so much space and abundance/comfort; everything is “extra.” You don’t find that here. These streets were no wider than our alleys in Chicago.
