no you are very correct. like i can glamorize or damn any part of my life based of how i feel about whatever currently but i almost always go to this website when i need to get something off my chest in that immediate moment. and no where else do i really have any record of how i felt in that specific moment then some fuck ass text post i made about it. and that will be something i miss when this star eventually explodes because it really is nice to go back into my archive and just see what i was doing back then. what silly thing was i laughing at, how was i coping with whatever thing was upsetting me. i think i tend to not let myself feel grief over things and its nice to go back to some of my doomsaying text posts and think "i was really hurting back then". makes me happy that i have grown. ill even miss my cringy tumblr clout chasing days because like thats still a part of me. and tumblr is great because its user interface is just awful enough that it is not worth the effort to go back and delete individual months/years of posting without wiping your whole blog which i would never do. anyways
yeah fully agree. sometimes i just go into my archive and see what i was talking about in like, february 2021 or something. and being able to see my off the cuff thoughts and anxieties from back then is so interesting. a diary also does this for me to some extent, like i can see the patterns in what i think about and complain about it, but reading old posts is also so fun.
