Thanks to a blog post from Ray Lederer I was able to learn certain Skyrim concepts were developed in this order.
1. A world artist develops the design and basic layout of a scene or area (eg. Whiterun)
2. That artist then builds the area in-engine
3. Another artist (in this case Ray Lederer) would then take a screenshot(s) of the area and "paint in" the details over the screenshot image.
4. As far as i understand, the image would then be passed off to other artists to further build the area in-engine
I was going to say that I haven’t heard SHIT from the higher ups at work about the lawsuit against the company, but lucky me I came in tonight to an email from Rob Kostich letting me know that these sorts of allegations would never ever ACTUALLY happen!!
