Well, well, well, if it isn't the "I Don't Understand How You Function" Brothers(?). I don't actually think they're brothers. They just share a model type.
Earlier I felt like learning how to draw the Servitor Units just because. And though I knew Geetz and his weirdly flat hair were going to be a problem, the multiple times I tried to imagine it in my head didn't prepare me enough. But that's why I had to start somewhere, right?
On a related note, I think I already know how they function. (It's NANOMACHINES SON-- the Mother Units hinted at a similar trait, so that was easy to tie together).
So I havent seen anyone comment on it yet, but amongst all the Rocks Pirates, there is one that stands out... Not for being impressive mind you, but for the fact of where he began, to where he ended up.
Who am i talking about?
Well if we zoom in a bit... We find Gatz.
That's right, the Gladitorial Announcer from Dressrosa used to be a member of the Rocks pirates.
40 years has clearly done a number on the former pirate, and he's changed his helmet up a bit, but thats very clearly him.
I havent seen anyone comment on it, so I just wanted to put this out there.

The actor brings his experimental bona fides home with a marathon ‘GATZ.’
In his senior year. Shepherd directed a production of The Merry Wives of Windsor, with “some orgastic, site-specific ideas,” that started in the lobby of the theatre and took the audience through the prop shop and into the backstage areas. He also staged a Hamlet in which the action spread throughout the theatre. About halfway through the show, a female actor hidden in the audience would replace the actor playing Hamlet. “She would be all enthusiastic and interrupting the play and saying lines along with the actor,” he recalls. “So finally the guy playing Hamlet gets exasperated and just hands the role over to her. Then she realizes, ‘Uh oh, I’m in way over my head, and I’m about to die.'”
My English teacher (Joan Didion teacher, to be more specific) is so excited about an eight-hour stage reading of The Great Gatsby that the rest of my class is talking about going if possible.
(I doubt we will, but let that be a lesson in the pervasiveness of excitement. In a good way.)
