Did you go to a public school in usa while you were a kid or were you only at homeschooling? I was part of a GATE program for gifted and talented education where I was pulled from classes and did peculiar tests and puzzles and learnt morse code. decoding cyphers. sign language. learnt some Russian. We had to drink a chalky pink liquid a lot of the time. The memories are feel missing and I know they put headphones on me a lot with tones playing for hours. Did you ever go to classes like this
ayyeeeyyyee ahah havent thought about gateways in ages ahah. yes i THINK i know what you're talking about?? i was tested for GATEWAY programs but my mathematics drastically fell short so i wasnt Gifted Enough lolol but i remember not all, but a few of those tests. not the languages etc tho, since i didnt qualify for the program you got much deeper insight than us. i always thought the chalky pink shit was Pepto for anxiety stomach π (not that we knew what Anxiety was lol) i remember opting to learn Braille and ASL instead of morse code because i was more tactile than auditory.
i remember the tones, that's how my parents found i had auditory processing disorder. but they didn't have the vocabulary for that.
i was homeschooled entirely until middle school (6th-8th grade) at the cult's religious co-op called Newsong academy. it was tuesdays & thursdays, or wednesdays & fridays, and we had classes with other home school kids in classes up to like a maximum of 15-25 kids per Grade class. everyone knew everyone. i was forced into TN public school for year 9 (highschool freshman) for half a hear until we moved to australia.
im sorry the memories sound really scary especially having missing pieces :(
