Ferrets canāt really get visibly swole because their muscles attach under their exoskeleton. Their fat reserves build up on the outside, though.
The flying avian species donāt have a lot of body variation, which isnāt helped by how their feathers smooth everything over. Flightless avians have the most body variety so I chose to draw them for this.

Question about Staraways races; What would vision correction methods look like for avians and ferrets?
Avians wear will wear anywhere between 1 and 6 lenses, since each eye can have a different prescription (just like humans) and rarely wear contacts because their iris/eyelid wonāt open up far enough to squeeze them in without chemical dilation. Ferrets can wear these little ācageā glasses but most vastly prefer surface contacts. They keep them on the hard surface of their eye with oil. Also, unless they have a specific need for it, most ferrets donāt bother to correct their vision disabilities. They are used to dark conditions and communicate mostly through touch.

It does exist, but it has been on hiatus for a long time, because I managed to overwhelm myself with the gigantic amount of worldbuilding and general lack of plot. I do want to revive it at some point, but sadly I can't really give you any solid estimates for now. ;w;

THATāS ACTUALLY A GOOD QUESTION I DO PLAN TO ANSWER IN THE COMIC ITSELF!
But I will answer it now because its not like a spoiler, if you ever got pulled around my an ear think of that sensation except way more intense and even stressful. Basically their brain evolved to recognize that thing is a sensory organ so it enduring damage triggers their fight-or-flight response pretty hard. Yanking their xala bea (thatās what its called) is probably the quickest way to find out how it feels to get slashed by a Ginagaās claws.
Also yeah it is disorienting on top of everything since having anything damaged back there canĀ ādistortā the signals of whatās going on behind them. Its a very good thing their xala bea kinda instinctively moves away from incoming objects because it means they donāt have to deal with having in yanked that often. The most common way it occurs is not malicious intent but self inflicted while sleeping since like Ginaga do on rare occasion roll over it while snoozing lol.
