A (realistic): Mimi has probably bullied someone enough to drop out. She’s ruthless.

B (hilarity): She fucking loves those dumb ass magnets with awful puns that you can get at touristy places. She just...buys a lot of them and laugh snorts at them even though she knows they’re trash

C (heart-crushing): Mimi feels like she was so close to getting the luck of “main characters” because she has strangely colored eyes and this has kind of haunted her for her whole life. She speculates if maybe her parents adopted her from a family of “pink-haired/main characters” and if that family gave her up because she wasn’t “special enough” (bonus adopted headcanon? its a thing ive thought about haha)

mimi is hana’s mom disguised as a high school student

Okay this is a pretty bad quality screenshot but it’s of Mimi saying:

“I did like that he cried when his dog died, I’ve been there. Dealing with that kind of loss is no joke.”

I just thought that this moment of humanization for Mimi was really interesting. It gives us a glimpse into her life beyond the school and her personality besides being a manipulative mean girl that likes to torment Hana as a way to work through her jealousy. She had a pet, she loved it, cared for it, maybe it kept her company when no one else would, and then she was heart broken when it died.

We have confirmation that Mimi is an animal lover (at least enough to love her pet) and I think that’s really sweet. (I’d like to write a fic including this at some point...)

If we want to read too deeply into this (under a read more because my train of thought spiraled a bit and became more irrelevant)...
