Nelielāsvengefulness is a subtle thing. There are no āraaaah REVENGEā moments with her;her wrath manifests itself in a much more insidious and Machiavellian manner. āforgiveand forget?? haha no resent and rememberā sums it up rather nicely. The two mainaspects of Neliel and revenge are that she never allows her desire for revengeto get in the way of her greater goals, nor does she get revenge in anostentatious way ā until perhaps at the very end, when she wants others to see.For example, Neliel was fed up with Nnoitraās behaviour and insults long beforehe threw her out of Las Noches, but it would not have been suitable to rightthat āwrongā without having a suitable replacement for him, as taking revenge would likely end with his death. Assuch, she did not act on it.
To use ametaphor, Neliel taking revenge is like slowly destroying a temple with a rowof columns holding up the sides. She starts by knocking out a few ā most of thetime, there is no pattern detectable, and though the fall of each of thoseindividual columns weakens the structural integrity, that is rarely clearlyvisible. However, with each fallen column, the structure becomes weaker, untilat the end, all she has to do is pushfor it to collapse. After having her way, nothing will be left standing.
