Reggae artist Joetexx returns with a music, "GamJam," captivating listeners! 🎶🌴
TODAY! SATURDAY!! I am at the mall lloyd center as part of #gamjam 11-6 $2 entry fee. Come on by. I have all my books and some original art for sale including this cute wolverine doing some skanking
Merlin Son of Darkness game art
Another gam jam I hadn't posted about before! The RPG Mania jam is a series of jams allowing much freedom in creation - where other jams demand a strict deadline and no changes afterwards, RPG mania is aware that roleplaying games can take a while to finish, so they support adding content during every jam. Our small team crunched it for two weeks to get our piece done. My job was to create backgrounds - some have parallax effects - plus UI assets, the map, a battle screen, promo art, and other bits and bobs that crop up while making a game.
I will draw for you TODAY in person in your book at lloyd center mall from 11am-6pm for GAMJAM the GRASS HUT ART MARKET I’ll have most of my books there including MONSTER-us!!!

Joe Hedges (Assistant Programmer), Meg Hedges (Musician) and Santana Ratahi (Artist) to submit our game “Keys” to the Game Makers Toolkit 48hr gamejam.
The theme for the jam was “Out of Control”. We decided to base our idea around they keys you control the character with changing randomly.
We switched from covering the entire keyboard, to just WASD, and now in the update I will be releasing the keys just go around clockwise, as after playtesting we found this still provides enough difficulty to the player without it being overwhelming.
From the jam I really think that I will need a better structured plan so as to utilize team members more effectively. I also think it would be good to playtest whilst working on the game, as we could have toned down how difficult the end result was before submitting (which has dissuaded a few from playing).
You can download our submission here, however I will be releasing an updated version in the next couple days, which changes quite a lot of the gameplay to make it more fair.
Video of the game we made for the Game Jam. We won Best in Show and Player's Choice. I did all the art. Programmers were: Zeeshan Habib, Joshua Johnson, and Justin Woo. Music: Return to the Black Star by Deep Space Destruction.
May 24th - Day something-something of MAGS
The development is still in full gear and it's been a busy week for the whole team. Victor's finishing up the backgrounds and tinkering with music, selmiak's doing some awesome environment animations and looking for the last sound bits and I'm doing the usual - implementing all of their work and breathing some life into the characters. Also, we might have another addition to the team, Emont over at the AGS forums offered to help out with additional music, so hopefully we're fully covered on that front.
There's about a week left and although there are some loose ends regarding the story and puzzles, I'm confident that we can take care of that in time.
Good night and until next update!
