Šibenik is such a pretty city on the Adriatic coast of Croatia🇭🇷 that has it all! Its 15th-century stone Cathedral of St. James is decorated with 71 sculpted faces. They gave the inspiration for Arya’s journey to the Faceless Man to the House of Black & White on Braavos in Game of Thrones and for Tyrion's visit to the Iron Bank🏦. Since they were at it and Šibenik is also blessed with 3 medieval castles and fortresses; they also continued to shoot other scenes for Game of Thrones👑 in Braavos here, namely they used the main fortress of St Michael (1) for intro scenes as the main castle overlooking Braavos, the St John's Fort (2) in Season 7 as the fighting pit for Jorah Mormont in the city of Meereen and the Barone fortress (3) for adding to the overall medieval feel. If you look closely enough in picture 4, you can also see the Fort of St Nikola which guards the bay of Braavos/Šibenik, I mentioned and photographed extensively in one of the previous shots.
