The fox could only blink again for a second as he watched his mate. But then gradually a loving and amused smirk pulled up one side of his muzzle. All mammals shed after winter was over, it was just a part of what species they were.
But his bunny seemed to think it was something to be embarrassed about or ashamed of. Atem could guess why too, he could see tufts of fur sticking out that hadn't been pulled yet. He could also see the fur was uneven in some places where the winter shed hadn't been pulled out yet.
If anything though, the sight was endearing to him. Seeing his mate embarrassed and still shy even though they were living together and fully mated now had him softly chuckling as he walked over.
"Why apologize love? Let me help. You know I love to spoil you anyway. So allow me to help groom you," he said as he sat behind his bunny before pulling him into his lap. "You know acts of service are my love language."
That said, he started to gently rake his claws through the fur of his mate. The brown buck he met and fell for at first sight. Yes, Yugi was beautiful as a white rabbit in the winter, but his original fur had a special place in his heart too. He may even be even more beautiful to the fox when he was his normal brown color. All of which he shared with his bunny right then.

Physically okay anyway, but that was enough to have him relaxing for now as he held up a finger in the universal "just a sec" gesture. He couldn't even remember if he locked his door on his flight out of the apartment before. But it didn't really matter much when it came to what could have been troubling his brother.
"What's going on?" he finally managed after a moment of soft panting. "I can feel your worry, bro," he added, finally coming out of the doorway to let the door close behind him.
Indeed, he could still see the shadows of worry and something else there in the identical violet eyes. What had caused it? Bullying again? If someone bullied him then-
"Who's ass am I kicking?" he demanded, a frown crinkling his brows downward. He noticed a distinct lack of another person as well and his frown deepened. "It better not have been that walking mummy!"

Yun must have popped out for a moment, his scent heading north where the emperor caught the scents of the market. And judging from the sun's position, he'll need to hurry. Thus, he carefully walked up to the shop and opened the door, easily finding the halfling. "Yugi Muto, I presume?"

Hello, hi, I'm just a quiet, lowly writing blog but I just wanted to say your art gives me such oxygen and I love your style so much.
