I was working just like I do everyday, chatting with a few regulars (Leah and Azure, they live in the shelter next to the cafe, such lovely kids) while working on the drinks. I’m making Riddler his drink while he’s reading through a puzzle book, and who comes in but the Penguin, waving his cane around, demanding a drink I don’t offer year round (he wanted a mango soother in Autumn, who does that?) while berating my staff. After I reasonably told him to take his attitude and leave, he started trying to pick jokes with Riddler, while telling me that I shouldn’t have come to Gotham if I wasn’t willing to work for the wealthy, and I would’ve shoved his umbrella down his throat if I wasn’t working the kitchen. Anyways, after a few more colourful insults about immigration and the like, Riddler got the most violent I’ve seen in my 10 years here by dragging his ass out and dealing with him. Needless to say, his order was free, and he’s now on my “Good Arkham Escapees” board.

I’ve been living here for 30 years, I’ve built up an immunity to whatever bullshit’s contaminated it now. On the other hand, can everyone please remember their specialty water filters for the next few weeks, because that message is very suspicious.
