I did some research in Galra tech and here’s what I found.

So galra tech is powered by violet Galra Crystals and can also be fueled by Quintessence, which the Galra empire has mined and colonized planets for centuries, even going as far as killing living planets such as the Balmera.

Galra tech is supposedly very advanced. It seems to only let people in trough advanced doors or let them access command stations, when it identifies a hand of the Galra sentry, which is why Shiro is able to open the door and get Pidge the information from the broken Galra building.

The Galra empire usually styles its tech in black and purple, as many of the power crystals glow violet. The command console are red and on the warships the prison areas are designated with green lights. It’s a big difference from the Alteans white and blue.

Haggar advanced it further by developing a Komar device that extracts Quintessence from a planet in mere seconds (or ticks). She then has the Quintessence refined to Galra standard by her Druids at the refinery stations scattered around the empire.

There isn’t much written on Galra tech, but I want to talk about the infrastructure next.

So, because Zarkons planet was destroyed he governs his empire from inside his central command ship, serving as the core of the empires central command system, in the middle of the Galra empire.

The system is made up of three clear giant planets, connected by two megastructual rings, with an added two rings surrounding the command ship. One of the planets around it has a ring also and it’s own moon. The largest planet has structures built in top of it. The system has its own solar barrier, and when it’s powered it can surround all planets and ships within its range. It also can stop enemies from getting away through worm holes too.
