Black dials are always the most mesmerizing to gaze upon. The original black dial with gold gilt print and matching original Arabic numerals looks amazing on this 1940’s vintage Gallet chronograph. This 33mm. chrome case with stainless steel back displays excellent overall condition and retains an old nostalgic inscription. This manual winding signed GALLET movement was just expertly serviced and is accurate with the chronograph functioning perfectly. Regram from @y.andre.ch - Gallet Multichron 12HR “Jim Clark”, named after one of the greatest Formula One drivers who wore this reference when he won the Indianapolis 500 in 1965. I’ve owned 3 of these in the past, but this one is hands down the best example I’ve seen. It’s an early version with super glossy gilt dial, and completely unpolished case.
