I’ve been thinking about uploading this for like a week or two now (closer to two weeks) and I guess I’ll just go on and upload it. This is a reference for Orion. I was going to add a side view picture, but I honestly just finished this picture, realized how awful the linework was and kind of told myself I’d try to do something nicer next time. No...this piece definitely does not show off any of my strengths as an artist (if I even have any). ...Although I think the face turned out really well! But that...yeah, that’s about it. On the upside, the outfit looks...how I wanted it to, I guess. I didn’t bother with shading and I’m pretty bad with symmetry. I try.

I’m actually in the process of working on something better, but none of my doodles have turned out anything quite...nice enough. Maybe I’m just trying to be too fancy with their poses and have no idea what to do because my skills seem to either be alright or be terrible depending on the day. I’ll get something eventually. Anzu has enough art I’m happy with to prove that I can produce SOMETHING okay. <Sobs in corner.> Maybe I should post some of the okay stuff sometime. I mostly try to post art that I don’t post on my dA here.

Anyways, a little about the character. Orion is an escapee from a maximum-security deep-space penal colony. They awaken on a ship they somehow know to be their own, but have no memories of who they are or how they got there, just the knowledge to pilot and maintain the ship. Of course, the authorities are after them, but they’re determined to discover the secrets of their past - secrets that won’t be discovered by being imprisoned once more. 

Are they still a pilot like I said in my previous post? Yes. Yes they are. I get that the concept behind the story seems a little cliche in premise, though. Memory loss is a very common trope...

I’d reveal more, but I have a couple of friends that look at this tumblr that write alongside me and I think they’d strangle me if I put any plot spoilers here because even they don’t know and don’t want to spoil it. Who knows, I might actually put the story up one day? I’ll answer questions if asked.
