Two things are true about Peridot: she’s extremely gay not great with technology, and she doesn’t like loud noises - well, with the exception of her own voice. The Space Kingdom had always felt too future-y for her to bother much with, and the weird “dubstep” (more like dumbstep, ha) music they liked there was just awful.

So how did she end up in the technology-filled, futuristic Golden Ward?  Boredom, of course. It was supposed to have all kinds of cool gizmos for sale, and there was fashion, and there were concerts, so it couldn’t be all bad. Maybe she’d find a cute outfit she could get the Nightmare Knight to buy her.

The moment she arrives (taking public transporation - ugh), she hops on her broom and flies down the street. She’s careful to try to pay attention to how long she has on it this time, so she doesn’t crash.

One building in particular catches her attention. A huge, conch-shaped stadium, like something between the Space Kingdom and the Ripple Kingdom. There’s preparation for a concert going on in there, based on all the noise from inside, and there’s something standing in front of it who gives her a distinct sense of deja vu.

She flies right up to him, so that she’s more level with his weird, dome-like head.

You’ll be housed in APARTMENT 304.

You will retain your spaghettification ability, although it can only be used in your arms to reach a max distance of ten feet. You’ll also be given a walkman.

The weather seemed fairly hot today, even though the sun had already set a while ago. While the void that the vessel was made of did quite an excellent job at keeping them cool, it still bothered them-- it was a nagging, painful reminder in the back of their mind about what had happened to them back in Hallownest. They didn’t like how the warmth felt touching them. Even just imagining it made them shudder...
