Week 22, Day 5: Gaining speed

After several days of walking slowly, today i felt good enough to increase my pace again.

There is still a long way to go before I resume running- need to strengthen my muscles- but things are beginning to look better.

Here are today’s measurements:

An expert has tested overclocked Core chips i7-6700k achieve clock speeds of up to 7 GHz.

For those who are hesitant about whether to spend money to upgrade equipment used Skylake chips (chips Intel’s 6th generation) or not, they now have one more reason to be convinced .

Chi-Kui Lam, an expert overclockers Hong Kong has established a new record for overclocking the processor Intel Core i7-6700k clock frequency while being pulled up close to 7 GHz. To achieve this clock rate is not simple because it requires people to disable overclocking 3 of 4 core chip. In addition, Lam still have to use the Hyper-Threading technology (Hyper-Threading) at the same time pushing for increased voltage to 1.888V.

The system is used include Z170 Asrock OC Formula motherboard, RAM DDR4 as a 1300W power supply and cooling by liquid Nitro before.

However, it is worth noting that on the chip record Skylake overclocking is done on only one core on the inside of 4 core, 1 processor to achieve high overclocking record in the competition is not which means it will run stable at higher clock specified by the manufacturer when operating the 4’s.
