The Sabrae clan (Marethari’s) also has an abnormally good rapport with the alienage in Kirkwall whereas most clans + alienages have a tense or downright hostile relationship. In addition to Pol and Feynriel you see several City Elves in the Dalish camp, and the number only increases as the years go on. Moreover it’s possible one of the elves they took in in Act I was fleeing the Circle. & I haven’t read TME but I think Mihris’ clan treated Briala well vs. Celene + Michel

I would argue that we don’t really know the specifics of each clan’s history and opinions, and those specifics are what matter, though, despite what Bioware stated previously, because it contradicts Felassan’s statement: “...staying deliberately separate has led to clans growing more and more different, losing their commonalities.” (Of course, that’s from TME so since you don’t have access to it...)  I wouldn’t necessarily consider Felassan to be a reliable source of information, but this comes across as an exposition/infodump rather than him speaking for himself.

Anyway, I personally don’t like to paint every clan with the same brush, ymmv.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As compared to Michel, yeah, I’d say Briala was treated relatively well. Though, taking away that comparison, she was still under a great deal of scrutiny and suspicion. Celene was unconscious for a good amount of the time they were in Virnehn’s camp.

Do you remember the start of your life? How long ago was it?

“Compared to the other evanuris? Not terribly long, but they are vested in their age and ‘wisdom’ it allows them. Too steeped in their old ways, they’re blinded but I can see the innovation they cannot. I remember when I was a child, I outgrew my parents very quickly. Outgrew all of those around me until I was too powerful for the masses but I had my creations.”

What is one of the most valuable things you’ve learned?

“Do not let the petty trivialities of others stifle your creations. If you have been blessed with power then it is natural that you must use it. Pursue knowledge relentlessly, but on occasion bend if you must. Others will not understand your desires, your needs but they can be worked around if the opportunity they present is great enough.”

The same look he'd left her with when he decided to take retribution for his family, and left the Chantry. A look he used to give her all the time when she demanded nearly the same thing of him as she was demanding now.

Words weren't ever enough were they?

The angry look melted away on his face, and Sebastian lowered his head in thought.  No, they weren't.  Not for the Grand Cleric, and not for the Maker. But the question was did he feel remorse for what he did? Could he repent for something he didn't feel he was wrong in doing? He ... wasn't sure. But what Sebastian was sure of was that since leaving the Chantry to make sure things in Starkhaven weren't in complete chaos he felt nothing but turmoil in his soul.

There were two roads he could go down, and one was paved with dead bodies...

He prayed to the Maker for peace, but how could he achieve something when there was something so dark in front of him?

Well, when DA:O begins, Inara’s basically been slowly starving to death for about three years (since she gets kicked out of the Chantry and has to live on the street). So after Duncan conscripts her she wants to eat absolutely everything (Duncan doesn’t let her, of course). Once she’s a Grey Warden, the “hunger” Alistair mentions takes over, and she really... does... eat everything. (I assume it’s an offset of the increased strength, speed, and stamina that they have to consume more fuel). 

She’s not great at gathering, doesn’t know which plants she shouldn’t put in her mouth (oh, the mouth rashes), but she can set snares like a pro (and sometimes catches Alistair). She used to poach outside Denerim to feed Ellis’ family and herself (tho she mostly gave the best food to the four little girls). She cannot do archery, though, so hunting at a distance isn’t a thing for her. 

As far as foods she loves, she loves meat and bread and hearty things that make her feel full and safe and warm. She hates soup (it’s not food) and stale bread and leafy things that don’t fill her up. She can cook, but she doesn’t think she’s very good at it and since Alistair likes to cook, she defers to him most often.
