I recently found an old group chat my thirteen year old self and her best friends had. (I'm still friends with both of them.)
It made me realize how life and 'being busy' and the stress of growing up creates a whirlwind of uncomfortable anxiety even found in texting.
The kids in the group text didn't worry about what time it was, what the other person was doing, being annoying, or how something sounded. When we were young, we trusted that we were texting our friends and just wanted to have a fun conversation. Even if someone misunderstood, it was a laughable hiccup. No one was afraid to laugh at themselves, and no one was afraid of the other's opinions.
I want to be more like thirteen year old me.
