This is Fy from Beyond-MOGAI-Pride-Flags. I’ve made a temporary account to make this announcement.

It seems all of mods whose accounts have been associated with Beyond-MOGAI-Pride-Flags have been terminated. I don’t know why exactly, but I guess I’m surprised it didn’t happen sooner due to all the reporting people have done against us, I guess.

I am inquiring on the possibility of reinstating my blog, but I’m not holding my breath on this one. I’m already really sick of Tumblr drama and at this point I’d rather just take this as a sign to stop clogging my life with it and focus on my other hobbies. But we’ll see.

I don’t know how long the blog will stay up, so please go ahead and reblog and/or repost any of our content as much as you want in case the answer is “not for very long”.

It’s that time of year again, folks! That’s right! It’s August 13th! Which means that, yes, you are indeed being subjected to this post once again!

For those that are new, August 13th is the date the first post of this blog was made. In 2016. Three years ago today. 

That’s unbelievable to me. I didn’t think anyone would pay any mind to my posts when I first started it. We’ve come so far since then.

We went through a lot this year. This blog was almost sacrificed to the purge of MOGAI-related blogs in late 2018. I figured it’s time was up and that I should just move on. But thankfully we were restored only a few months later! And it was really moving to return to so many concerned voices in our inbox wondering where we were. 

Regardless of how many times I have to take a break from Tumblr, or how long, for whatever reasons, I still come back here. Despite the negativity, it’s the joy of those who discover a term that fits them or have a flag made for them that keeps me coming back. 

I’m really grateful to all of you. Let’s have another good year, okay? 

To all trans people, binary or otherwise, who can or cannot be visible today.

After two months of nothing from Tumblr, our primary accounts have been restored and we are finally able to access BMPF again. 

However, we do have over 200 asks piled up now so we ask for your patience at this time as we try and fix the blog back up again. 

I missed you all so much, I thought I’d never be able to make flags for you all on here again. D;

Honestly, it did bother me when I first started running this blog. The sudden influx of hate was too much for me to handle. At this point, though, it’s just par for the course. For myself, anyways. 

So I’d really like to turn on asks again, as I honestly dislike not giving our followers to ability to contact us and ask us questions. 

However, if I do so, I’ll have to continue keeping requests closed and ask that any asks sent only be questions and comments that are not requests.

If you look at our request list, we have so many piled up already. Most, if not all, of us that run this blog are currently in school and don’t have a lot of time to dedicate to designing flags. I’m currently the only one making any, but its not as many as I wish I could get done.

We also make flags for multiple different categories, and some of these categories are not covered by other flag blogs. There are a handful of other blogs that are specifically for orientation and gender pride flags, and @madprideflags also makes flags for neurodiversity and mental illness. However, as far as I know, we’re the only ones that make pride flags for alterhuman personal identities, and it also happens to be the category with the most requests.

So I’d like to ask our followers: If you have any skill in being able to design flags, we would really appreciate the help. You would, of course, be credited as the designer. We probably won’t get too many who wish to do this, but every little bit helps. We’ll eventually get to all of them one way or another.

Don’t worry if you can’t, though. And if you have a request you really want to have a flag for, I just ask that you be patient until we can turn them back on. I’d rather not have to turn asks off again entirely.
