A tender head rests upon the taller man’s shoulder as Karter finds a comfortable spot next to the other man with a seemingly tired expression on his face. The day had been agonizingly long and he ached desperately and all he wanted was some solace.

“How was your day?”

     “things i would kill for right about now -- for this fucking Walkman to work.” 

Last night, she told herself, ‘Just one extra hour of work.’ Well, that one hour had turned into four and then five and before she knew it she was passed out at her desk. Papers were all over the desk, her computer was still running, the desk lamp still bright despite the sunlight flooding through the windows behind her. This is not her first account of sleeping at the museum, honestly.

When she hears a hard knock at the doorframe, however, Lucy’s up and alert, if you can call ‘alert’ having a rush of sudden energy. Her head shoots up, giving herself a bit of a headrush. A hand goes to her forehead as she winces slighty. Tired eyes blink against the light in her office before she rubs at them with her fingers.

      “ Oh, God... ”

She takes in her surroundings for a moment before realizing she’d slept yet another night in her office. Lucy had told herself she wouldn’t do this anymore. But here she was.

It takes her another second or two to realize there’s a man standing in her doorway. Her eyes go wide as she immediately tries to straighten up the mess on her desk and also running her fingers through her hair to seem somewhat presentable.

                     It wasn’t good. Not for them, at least, since their chasers were gaining on them. Borrowing that ancient artifact from the museum apparently wasn’t considered a good idea by the security guards. Well, they couldn’t leave without the object, so they would have better been gone before it was too late. What they needed, actually, was a DIVERSION. & she could only come up with one, even if she didn’t really like it.

8. Who was your muse’s first crush?

Some boy in her class when she was in the fourth grade. She can’t remember his name or even why she had this huge crush on him, but she knows that nine-year-old Lucy was head over heels for him.

11. How important is family to your muse?

Family is everything to Lucy. Seriously. As an adopted child, finding a family she felt safe and comfortable with was like the ultimate goal. She was adopted by one family at a young age but later put back into the foster care system. When her parents, Charles and Sara, finally adopted her when she was eight, Lucy just knew. She knew this was her family. Her older brother is adopted as well so she became very close with him pretty quick.Not even just immediate family is important to her. But having really close friends that she considers family is super important for her too. The people she would trust her life with are her family and that won’t ever change.
