the biggest hint to there being something more to caduceus is that taliesin mentioned trying to create a character "worthy of this show" sooooo...............

My biggest thought it that, at lot like Molly, Clay simply doesn't know a lot of the details. It's possible his family does and they didn't tell him for Reasons.

I found the way he mentioned his family members leaving interesting.... his phrasing felt like him gently waving off something that, too me, seems a bit ominous. I get the sneaking impression that when each one has gone they haven't come back. like. ever.

OH MAN THAT’S A GOOD POINT I don’t want to assume he’s evil (I’ve seen theories about that too but the last thing the party needs is Molly being replaced by an evil character so I’m stubbornly ignoring those), but there’s definitely something going on more than he’s said.  (Also it just wouldn’t be Taliesin if there wasn’t)

I have a feeling there’s something between all of this--there definitely is more than the story he gave, but he may not know it all.  Is the family cursed?  Is he undead or something like it?  Was something trapping him there until he was invited out, like a reverse vampire?
