Hikari looks around briefly before placing Onyx on the table. That's an entire coeurl kitten. "Look at this critter I picked up."

a pair of bright yellow eyes peers up at him. a little black tail sways gently behind the creature, its ears tipped forward curiously. the little thing is... cute. really. if one ignores the fact that it's definitely not an ordinary kitten. arenvald would recognize a coeurl pup everywhere.

Name: Hideaki Waters

Gender: Boychild, he/him.

General Appearance: Red hair, deep brown eyes. Stocky and short -- taller than Hikari, shorter than Thancred. He's an absolute tank of a man once he grows up. Is probably missing a few teeth, though.

Personality: Cheerful but chaotic. Always getting into trouble at school, but it's usually not his fault. He likes to beat up bullies and make friends with the kids who get bullied. Sometimes falls into the trap of becoming a bully to a degree, but genuinely doesn't mean to. Loves animals more than anything, and is a big fan of the underdog. Very stoic, but also very funny. Like, he's just deadpan when he tells his jokes and no one expects it.

Special Talents: Absolutely tough as nails. He's extremely good at ignoring his own pain while fighting. Very "grins and bears it" kind of a guy. Although he inherited Thancred's inability to use magic somehow, he doesn't feel like he needs magic anyway. He takes up the axe like his mother and enjoys it very much -- and yet, much prefers a quiet life where he can live on a farm with a bunch of animals.

Who they like better: Thancred, to a degree. His relationship with Hikari is strong, though, but he argues with her more often. Thancred tends to be a more soothing presence between the two of them.

Who they take after more: Hikari! Although he did get his sense of humor from his father, and his strength came from both sides, he definitely favors his mother's side of the family more.

   Aymeric is mid-swallow when Hikari blurts that out from the other side of the table and it takes all he has to not inhale his wine with a sputtering laugh. Is she...?

   His gaze lands on the three goblets of wine in front of him, then upon the three in front of Hikari. Oh dear. 'Twould appear he had forgotten to let slip the uncommon knowledge that Ishgardian-grade alcohol tends to be stronger than that of their Eorzean allies. (The newly understood why is something he would rather not ponder at the given moment.)

Whoever ventured back into Ul'dah, or was sent here, the rumor kept vague. Thoughts of running into any of them after everything left a bitter taste on the mage's tongue. The Hyuran woman was straightforward, at least, but admitting what was eating him to a stranger wouldn't end well.
