you know, i really do want to learn how to raid sometime. arcadion looks soooo fun, and i've always wanted to do pandaemonium. technically i've "done" eden but it was mostly my friends pulling me through so i could get the story. i'm not good enough at the game to raid, though, and i'm definitely not comfortable enough playing with strangers to jump into it. but i was thinking about it, and i think duty support might actually be harder than running dungeons with real people? in a duty finder duty, you get rezzed when you die, but in duty support, you have to start all over. you're basically forced to learn the boss mechanics. plus, the ai that controls the player characters isn't as good as having real actual people playing with you. so you have to do more work, and the battles take longer, and you can't pull multiple groups, etc. so, i dunno, maybe i'm better than i think i am.

writing leo and gemini's backstory as a novella is making me feel extremely guilty for Doing That to them

good morning, my friends! i just wanted to put forth that i'm going to be on a little hiatus for a bit because i've entered a contest where i need to write an original fiction story! i'm dedicating all my writing brain to that right now so that i have plenty of time to edit it once it's finished being written. to be honest, it's leo and gemini's story with the ffxiv bits filed off and changed to be more upbeat. i probably won't win -- my prose is okay, but it's not great -- but it's fun to try anyway!

fun fact about leo: he and gemini don't remember their nameday. therefore, they decided to make up their own. unfortunately, they couldn't agree on a date, so they have different namedays. leo's is actually coming up next week. he is, in fact, a leo.
