So with the revelations about the "cure" for the parasite, it seems like Ferals and Hunters will eventually find a stable population rate within the environment, at least if humans get their population back up to a point before they die off (not to mention the mysterious initial cause of the outbreak). How does the camp adapt and change with this info? Do the "special missions" turn into raiding libraries for long term agri/sustainable knowledge? Their tech will EVENTUALLY fail even scavenging.
absolutely. i mean, they brought solar panels with them, so they have some electricity, and in a one shot i posted they were trying to figure out how to get running water. i actually have thought a lot about what the world would be like years after cdad, when i was thinking of sequel ideas. and eventually itād mostly be only hunters left. and they wouldnāt be as common to stumble across randomly, but when you did, theyād have learned to hunt in groups, and it would just be BAD news. like... life outside of a base or protected settlement would be kind of... wild. itād be hard. but yeah, theyād eventually have to figure out how to mostly survive without vehicles, learn better agricultural practices, figure out medicine when they run out of limited supplies, that kind of stuff.
