They  were  seated  at  a  table  in  the  back  of  a  run  down  bar.  It  wasn't  really  Loki's  scene  but  then,  beggars  couldn't  be  choosy.  With  a  face  like  his  own,  hanging  out  in  crowded  bars  probably  wasn't  the  best  idea.  People  were  still  on  edge  post  the  blip  while  the  world  was  grasping  at  straws  trying  to  figure  itself  out  again.  While  he  knew  he  was  trying  to  take  a  different  approach  this  time  around,  the  average  person  didn't  know  and  wouldn't  believe  him  if  he  tried  explaining  it.  The  only  person  who  did  seem  to  believe  him  was  Nathan  though  it  was  hard  to  know  if  Nate  truly  trusted  him.  For  all  Loki  knew,  he  was  just  some  'mostly'  reliable  backup  when  needed,  but  the  god  chose  not  to  question  it.  He  was  happier  not  knowing  one  way  or  the  other.
Nate's  deep,  thoughtful  tone  drew  the  god's  attention.  He had been sipping  on  some  god-awful  brew --- an ale of sorts his âbrotherâ seemed most fond of the last time they spoke. So  did  Nate and while Loki would have rather enjoyed a nice glass of wine, this  bar  didn't seem carry  any  of  the  sweeter  stuff for  the  refined  pallet  belonging  to  the  former  Prince  of  Asgard.  So  'beer'  it  was  tonight.  As  for  Nate's  words,  well,  Loki  supposed  he  was  right.  Opportunity  oft  presented  itself  at  the  most  surprising  of  times  and  well,  fortunately  for  them  both,  Loki  had  never  been  one  for  wasting  a  good  open  door.
   âI  couldn't  agree  more. â
