At Cable’s question, Havok tried moving his thigh but as he moved it, each pulse of the throbbing pain pounded his senses over and over again. Havok had felt pain like this before. It was all part of the job really but he had to remind himself that this pain, like everything else, wouldn’t last forever. “I can move but it hurts like hell.” Havok was a good soldier. The pain was excruciating but Havok would always down play it. Every step he took, Havok grunted, determined to block out the pain and ignore the voices in his head, screaming for him to stop. “Even with a bad leg I can still do a better job than you.” Havok tried to tease his nephew. A classic distraction technique. Havok couldn’t let the mission stop just because of his pain. Today was a day for pushing the limits.  @futurepresentashes​

“Watch out for that truck!” Havok screamed as the truck came barrelling towards the pedestrians. It was supposed to be a routine mission, in and out but something went wrong. Something always went wrong. Since Jamie’s death, Havok hadn’t been the same. He had even gone as far as quitting the team but after a few weeks away, it was evident that he needed the team more than they needed him. Once again, Havok was confined to his regulator suit, serving the people the best way that he could. Someone hadn’t heard Havok’s call and had stood between the incoming truck and their own safety. Havok ran and knocked the person to the ground. “Didn’t you hear me?” He asked above the screams of the civilians. It was a close call  but luckily, Havok had reached the person in time.  - @etherealstarr​

The infirmary was cold and still they insisted that Havok had to take off his shirt. It was only a cut, at least that’s what he had told himself. He was stitched up in no time but still there was paper work. Havok’s attention soon switched from the cold to the green haired woman walking through. “The scars aren’t sexy,” Alex turned to face her. “I’m sexy enough without them but if it helps, I’m not complaining.” The audible scoff from the nurse could be heard but Havok just ignored her. He looked to his destroyed suit. The black one with the regulator on its chest and honestly, he hated that suit. @magnetxgirl​​

Marluxia continued this, searching the entire castle for his missing bird. Finally he collapsed onto his bed, broken. His precious pet was gone. He had cared for her, even went as far as loving her. Yet now… She was gone. Gone entirely. Blue eyes closed as he took a shaky breath. He moved slowly, curling up beneath the covers on his bed. He fell asleep there, thoughts of the lost bird filling his mind and dreams.
