It probably wouldn't be a thing in the books other than maybe some boundary conversations. But that's a little too niche to code into a novel. I would question why the MC is more concerned about Reese disliking them than Elias's everything, though. As far as we know, Reese as not had people stand as statues around.

Also, while Reese has reservations and some dislike for the MC, he has never been outwardly hostile to my knowledge. So, I think that's why it wouldn't be a thing in this book. Because it's more little comments here and there. MC can choose to tell him to knock it off, or ignore it. But, that's just a part of being around people sometimes.

I have had this decision since I first started writing the Descent and with the Beast drawing near, I don't expect myself to finish off Descent anytime soon (with where the plot is...I'm still at the halfway point). And even so, I'll have to play the Beast first to get an idea what the Descent Sequel should be moving forward. So again, might not be that soon after the game's release. With that said, here's the poll.

Edit: I meant after the Beast is out. I realized I made it seem like I'm gonna start right away - not yet, i really have to do my research and planning first...

It makes me think a lot about how I would write it differently if I was writing it today. I never seem to have a shortage of ideas to write, but maybe in 2026 (it’s 15 year anniversary omfg) I will try to work on a version 2.0 that handles some of the issues I have with it in regards to the pacing and characterization and development of the romance. It would probably end up being about double the number of chapters and word count.

I want to take a second to genuinely say thank you. It’s not a big deal. But I literally only started posting 5 days ago. And I am so happy that people like what I think of.

So far haven’t posted and fanfics, or anything beyond teasers and headcannons.

But the fact that you guys like my writing means so much to me, because I am trying to get my first book published within 2025.

So as a high school, future writer the small support in my fandom is already a huge encouragement for my career.
