Mina is ambushed by Dracula in the most recent rev of Fury of Dracula. Dracula would maul her to within an inch of her life, but the hardy and resourceful Mina would escape and survive and direct the other hunters to his trail, with Godalming and Seward cornering and defeating him in Zurich. The 3rd/4th edition of this has gotten mixed reviews, but I actually like it a lot better than 2nd. I think it plays better and more cleanly in almost every way and is more evocative if the book. In 2nd the game was usually won with the hunters running Dracula to the ground and then staking him during the day when he is extremely weak; now the hunters really have to earn it as Dracula is both stronger during the day and also will usually have the advantage of night. So lots more action and combat. The crazy swinginess of a few events had been reduced, the rail system is better and less annoying, the action cards are better designed and more interesting. And the rules in the (upcoming?) WizKids reprint are finally fixed (the rules in the 3rd edition from FFG were truly appalling, but the new 4th looks identical but with an acceptable rules set which 3rd edition owners can download). Anyway, this is a bit on the long side for a modern game but super fun. I actually recommend 3 players as better than the tradition 5; with each player controlling only one hunter things can be a bit thin, but controlling two hunters is just right.
