“Usually I love a free holiday, but you know, I would much prefer to be somewhere that isn’t in the middle of absolutely fucking nowhere.” Ainsley sighed, shaking his head. “What even is there to do here? All I’ve been doing since we arrived is sleep, eat and drink.”

“Do you think there’s any animals out here that will be walking around?” Joey asked as he heard someone walk into the room. He was sat by the window, looking outside and was wondering why he hadn’t seen anything other than trees. “Sitting here would be a lot more interesting if I actually saw some animals,” he added, chuckling to his own words.

Oliver was walking around the cabin, getting to know the place. He didn’t like being alone in the woods, but it was the least he could do to be with his friends. When he felt someone approaching him and touching his shoulder, Oliver jumped and let out a small scream, before turning around to the person who had touched him. “Don’t do that, do you want me to die?!”

“No, ya know what, no, this is great! This is perfect. This is what I need. Now that the kid’s gone and I can be single again, I have the chance to let loose completely. This is going to be fun, really! Just like old times. Come on, come reminisce with me. I’ll tell you all the stories you want to hear about Fucked Up Hannah back in the day.”

He still wasn’t in the mood for company but Oliver was right. He couldn’t hide forever so maybe going to Halloween Horror Nights for a second time this year wasn’t a bad idea. At least there would be enough to distract him from his own thoughts. He was already slightly intoxicated when he arrived at the event with a couple of friends from the studio who were dressed in the same onesie as he was and who were also wearing the same skeleton makeup. His friends were currently sitting at a table in one of the diners as he returned from the toilet running into a familiar face. “Hey, great costume.” he greeted the other with a grin, not sure if they recognized him.

Soph sat on the couch with her guitar and her notebook keeping to herself. Finger picking and humming to herself slightly before she realized she wasn’t alone in this room anymore. “Hey, did you need something? I can move over, I realized I’m kinda taking up the whole couch if you want to sit.”
