After the funeral and bringing the bones and ash to the house to place before the shrine for a time before joining お母さん with お父さん at the graveyard, it is customary to have dinner as a family. We went to the BEST restaurant around, my favorite, Katsu Gen. I’ve only been there once but I’ve been to Tonkatsu places a plenty and Katsu Gen in Katata stands above all of them. Luckily, we were the only people there.
