Fun little idea: If you had to replace any of our original ninja with one of the new kids, who would it be and why? How do you think the presence of said ninja would alter the show + how would you change their backstory to fit in with the original canon?
So like, as far as which kid would be most interesting to swap into the original story... I mean there's really only one correct answer. Frak. Obviously Frak. A serpentine ninja durring the initial run would be SO interesting, you kidding me? Who we swap him out for is a bit more difficult of a call. As much as he is Cole's boy, if we're considering whose personality he most closely matches and so would make the most logical swap team dynamics wise, I think it's Jay. They're both such talkative, self conscious dorks. Also keeps that strong bond between the blue ninja and Cole. But it also could be fun to swap him out with Lloyd. Serpentine green ninja would go SO hard. But that would do some WILD stuff to the lore. Reginald as Garmadon???
Obviously you either have to have Frak be part of some rogue faction of serpentine outside the tombs, or wait to introduce him until after they're opened which could also be fun. If he were our lightning ninja, it would serve to make the building of the team happen more in stages rather than having an established starting four which the others are tacked on to. Like they collect all 4 weapons in the pilot, but they're still one person short, and everyone's like "we got a lightning ninja?" and wu's just like "he's... difficult to reach at the moment."
I just think it would be cool having the team come to terms with their own biases early on and force the nuance of the serpentine people and their dynamics front and center. The Serpentine redemption in season 3 makes a little more sense. The ninja continually not getting credit for what they do can be played off as racism towards the group at large for including a serpentine member. Obviously with Jay gone that's gonna effect a lot of Nya plotlines too. Gives her some much needed breathing space outside of being a love interest. Maybe she just ends up with Cole in this universe? Instead of a dumb love triangle, season 3 is just Nya learning the algorithmically perfect guy for her is the one she works with every day, and the two of them awkwardly fumbling through learning that information. And then maybe they realize letting computers determine your soulmate is dumb, and there you go, you have a rejection/relationship which doesn't work out with in the first few seasons of the show.
And if Jay in turn gets placed in Frak's slot, that means Nya doesn't enter a proper romance plotline until Jay turns up as a student of Ras at the tournament. You do the whole bit where she gets to like him not knowing who his master is. Their relationship convinces him to reject the wolf mask. I guess given Jay also starts out an enemy in DR currently, it actually plays out quite similarly...
You know what, if you want to get wild and just swap out Sora and Nya as well, our relationships can happen more or less where originally placed. Frak's true potential episode gets a fun twist in that it's not Jay hidding that he's turning into a snake, it's Frak working up the nerve to share that he has a crush because he is a snake. Or you could go all Shrek 2 and have him somehow turn human to try and impress Sora. So many fun possibilities there. Going down the Sora/Nya rabbit hole, I think I would actually keep Sora's tech power. Samurai X being the master of technology makes sense, and maybe she's using her powers as early as season 1 in secret. Also, tech and electricity! The powers of the relationship would mesh so fun! Her and Kai as siblings would be great- and maybe you combine both their backstories and make Ray and Maya actually evil this time around?
What would Frak's Skybound be? I don't know. Maybe that's where we get into all the dad stuff. Make it a family focus season.
Anyway, lots of potential roads to go down. All of them seem fun.
Watching people question the whys and hows of your choosng peafowl, I just thought "Why yes, you truly love the dinosaurs with the jaunty feathers" Makes me wonder if velociraptors and the like still existed, and were domesticated, would they be the stars of poultry shows? Would you have them?
Just a silly thought.
It's a good question!! I think if they did still exist, AND we're talking real ones like Guy #2 here:
Then even though they're about the same size as peafowl, I would not own one for the same reasons I would not own a serval instead of a house cat, or a wolf instead of a dog. Are they both the cats or both canines? I mean.... yeah technically... but they're also completely different animals, and one of them doesn't belong in a home.
I also don't think that velociraptors would ever be "domesticated" the way cats/dogs/poultry were, because (despite the feathers) they're reptiles still and we haven't domesticated any reptiles (I mean, you can argue birds are reptiles but... enghhh). Not even ball pythons are considered domesticated because we didn't really.... do anything. Wild caught ball pythons are practically indistinguishable from captive bred ones (outside of color, but even color morphs are often found in the wild first). We still import wild caught reptiles of pretty much all species, except where we aren't allowed to export from anymore, and there's just not a lot of difference- like yeah okay you can't let a beardie go in the wild because it doesn't know what to do but also if you brought a baby wild one in and handled it, there's just not going to be a significant enough difference. Which isn't bad! It's perfectly fine, many reptiles can be kept perfectly fine in captivity regardless of being tamed or not because it doesn't really matter.
Buuuuuut velociraptors are bigger than most reptiles being captive kept, and would have different temperaments than any reptiles or birds being kept (being carnivores for one, the number of people keeping large carnivorous reptiles is not high, and the number of people successfully keeping them to adulthood is even lower, and keeping carnivorous birds/birds of prey is a HIGHLY specialized situation that requires a lot to get into legally). The housing requirements and liability alone would likely be outrageous (due to size, but also mobility... reptiles like monitors would not be nearly as active as something that's closer to Birds), not to mention the diet requirements. The closest we've come to "processed" diets for meat-eating reptiles is "make sausage" and that isn't cheaper than whole prey. They would be such a pain in the ass to keep, I don't think I would ever own even one, and they're likely to be social animals so keeping Just One would be bad for its mental health.
Also the biting. I have enough scars from incidental/accidental movements from animals with dull beaks and dog-shaped claws. Cannot imagine the scars from something with talons. Even people who wear leather gloves for falconry stuff a) understand the leather is there to protect from accidental wounds but that b) the talons will go through if the bird means it. The talons will go through multiple layers of leather if the bird means it. That scares me. I know I'm not on that level.
Would people do it anyway? I mean. Yeah. People keep servals and wolfdogs and have idk tigers and bears and water monitors and anacondas and train eagles and shit (whether or not they SHOULD is another story, but they DO). SOMEone would keep them if they could. But I would really hope that they'd have landed in the domain of like... "falconry" type animals where you CAN legally own them BUT you gotta do a lot of shit (apprenticing for one, licensing for another, and mandated insurance and reporting) to be able to do it legally, so that anyone entering into the keeping of them has a mentor and stuff to be able to do it properly and respect the keeping of them. Honestly there's a lot of animals where this would be a better idea than "random person can at-will acquire highly specialized animal with highly specialized needs while having made zero preparations for such a thing." I have a lot of mixed feelings about exotics as pets.
But, even though I wouldn't keep them myself, I would LOOOOOVE to follow a bunch of zoo accounts who post pics and videos of their little hellions daily.
If Eric, Donna, Hyde, Jackie, Kelso and Fez each wrote a book, what genre would it be and what do you think each one would be about?
Fez would write erotica that involves chocolate and candy. The male protagonist would be an idealized version of himself.
Kelso would write a self-help guide how to be man-pretty and sexy forever -- well, that's what he'd believe he's writing. The content would actually contain exaggerated stories of all the sex he had with the different women in Point Place with barely disguised names. He'd also lie about people like Donna. Jackie and Donna would sue him until he was dead, to quote Bob Pinciotti.
Jackie would write a romance. The protagonist would be an idealized version of herself. The former but obsessed boyfriend antagonist would be based on Kelso. The heroic bad boy lover would be an idealized version of Hyde, making changes to his appearance and personality she wished she could impose on Hyde.
Hyde would write his own Kerouac-esque stream of consciousness like On the Road. But he wouldn't have the discipline or desire to finish any of his thoughts, so the novel would be as impenetrable as Joyce's Finnegans Wake.
Donna would write a fictionalized and dramatized account of a very real problem society is facing.
Eric would write his own version of Star Wars, similar to how Terry Brooks based Sword of Shannara on LOTR.
Which DILFs would YOU date? 🫵
Well, that's a good question. I love all of them, obviously. They're my adorable hotties. But let me say reasons why and why I wouldn't date them.

Okay i asked you a question like this but i forgot to go into detail. Sooo
Would you rather make 1000 pounds for every one out of 10 one shots/drabbles/ head cannons, really anything that isn’t a series.
OR would you rather made 15000 dollars for every series with more than 15 chapters?
The money just magically appears in your account. You aren’t having people pay for your stuff, being monetized, or anything else. This is not also saying that my lovely queen wants to make money off of her writing. It’s just a would you rather. Take the chance or have it nice and steady.
you changing pounds to dollars made me have to google the conversion LOL so 15000 usd is roughly 11200 pounds.
omg now i have to do maths. so 1 in 10 posts that aren’t chapters. chapters are roughly like 2-9k words. a one shot can be like 2k a drabble can be less than 1000. a head canon a literal sentence.
so if i make 100 posts i’ll make like £10k. i could just do drabbles and headcanons all day. but if i was able to make that much money i will be ragebaiting like those people on twitter LOL nothing would be of quality. 15 chapters feels like sooooo much work and i know i get bored after 7 chapters lol
i can do 100 posts a month or even a week and make 10k. i will do that one. i feel like thats just social media creators and tiktokers LOL
What's your guys's oldest jsab au you can remember?
Mine is a bad retelling of the main game on a small game called Bloxels.
Had to have made it before Just Shovels & Knights or Lost Chapter came out, so probably around when the game came out but before December of 2019?
Bloxels was a game maker, so the au was technically a collection of a bunch of small games that I had actually made.
One game had the four player characters swim out to this far away Island infested zombies, get stuck underground in a cave, and have to send a triangle back up and out to call for help.
Project Arrhythmia, the Black Heart story specifically, got involved too, but I stopped making new games after that story arc was done.
There's also this old pink corruption au, but that one has morphed and changed so much over the years is that it's actually split into two aus, one of which was haft forgotten to time, and also a TPC au so probably doesn't count for the question...
