“This looks like a good enough hill!
He paused in front of a particular spot he had found - an aforementioned hill which was coated in snow. What made this particular hill so ideal in his opinion was that it was relatively clear, no nearby trees or bushes to crash their sled into. The hill was also rather isolated, not far off from a park - so the chances of anyone stumbling on them and ruining their fun would be minimal at best. What was, perhaps, most perfect about the hill was how smoothly it seemed to slope downward - perfect to ride a sled down!

The heavy wood doors push open, Elizabeth lifting her eyes from the briefing folder she was reading to the boy that entered. They’d gotten a call from another headquarters not long ago about someone coming in, didn’t they? A pause and she closes the folder, leaning a little further into the hall to be seen.
❝ You’re Edward Elric, right? ❞ Though she doesn’t quite smile, her expression is warm- welcoming. ❝ We got a call saying you’d be here. How was the trip? ❞

your story had a pretty rough start and you did some things you're not proud of, but you made the choice to change. i won't go through how important it is to accept responsibility and keep striving to improve or whatever because you know that already. what i think you should know is that your fuel does not need to be shame. you don’t need to stand over the bathroom sink with your blood in your hands until you can no longer make out your reflection. you will look at your face and you will see the person you used to be, but that person no longer exists. today, you are looking, and that makes all the difference.
