On the 25th anniversary of Fujiko F. Fujio's death, I drew Mitsuo Suwa, aka "Perman" (1967) No. 1, and No. 3 (Sumire Hoshino). Actually, it was the first time for me to draw Perman, but I noticed that Mitsuo's hairstyle had been changed in detail in the 1980s (for the Shin-Ei TV animation?). It was interesting to discover new things. Unlike the heroines of today, my impression of No. 3 when I was watching the anime was that of a nagging girl in class, and I didn't think she was cute at all… She was very different from Shizuka-chan and others (^^;) By the way, I grew up watching the black-and-white anime version and Mushi Comics (4 volumes), so when I think of Perman's flying speed, I think of 91km/h (lol).
