Five and a half weeks to go!

Barrow Savoyards proudly present ‘The Mikado’ – as you’ve never seen it before. We join the civil servants of The Japan Party, working tirelessly to appease their party leader, The Mikado. The office in Titipu is efficiently run by Pish-Tush, with increasingly annoying input from Ko-Ko, the Lord High Executioner, and Pooh-Bah, the Lord High Everything Else. Everything is in order until Ko-Ko announces that his bride elect, Yum-Yum, and her two sisters, Pitti-Sing and Peep-Bo, will be visiting now that they have finished with their schooling, making it quite clear that everyone in the office is to treat them with the utmost respect. He is unaware, however, that the office will also be visited by Nanki-Poo, a wand’ring minstrel who has also taken a fancy to Yum-Yum. Even less expected, is that Nanki-Poo has an admirer of his own who is planning to join the party... Join the Savoyards as we take this classic work of Gilbert and Sullivan and fling it into the 21st century! Tuesday 28th February 7pm (all tickets £5!)
