Selena I imagine would have the most “average” teeth set, considering Light Dragons seem like they’d be a relatively omnivorous species of Dragon. Though, I imagine Light Dragons would still be better suited to eating meat than plants so I gave her two sets canines.
For Blake (this’ll be the same for Davis too) I took inspiration from bird “teeth” (birds dont have “teeth” in the usual sense, rather, some birds have ridges on their beak to help filter food from water n stuff), so most of the teeth are very sharp, I actually considered giving Blake more, smaller teeth but I chose not to (for now). This was mainly cause I imagine Sky Type Dragons to be more bird like, and thus adapted similar traits to real airborne species.
Vipers teeth set will more than likely change because I wasn’t looking too much at snake teeth, but I feel like they should be more like that after draw it so woopsies. Anywho, since snakes don’t really chew their meals, and are carnivorous, I decided to not give Vipers any molars, only one set of premolars since, well, he’s still a human after all. He’s got one set large fangs (though, again, this might change) on his upper jaw with a set of canine-incisors (not a real type of tooth as far as I’m aware!) for better piercing.
For Mario I decided to only give one set of canines, like a normal person lol, with a whopping 4 sets of molars!! This is largely due to how I imagine Earth Dragons to be physically, mostly herbivorous alongside literal rocks lol — you don’t really need teeth for piercing when the majority of your diet requires crushing and grinding lol. I still chose to give him a set of canines, cause ultimately Mario is still a human yanno.
I have ideas for the rest of the DS too, I’ll draw those when I get the chance, I just wanted to share these now.

So to sum it up, Mireya is an Arc of Time mage, who uses it more with combat. They’re more skilled and stronger then Jakey, but it’s because Mireya DOESN’T have magical limits, with the only ones being their disliking to relying on their magic.
Pretty sure I’ve mentioned this, but they erased their existence of them being apart of Jakey’s and their family life, with the cost of forgetting memories they had with them, or how old they were, because the moment they did the deed, they were hit with the cursed of immortality.
Mireya relies on Gun magic, because they had a caretaker who were skilled at weaponry and such, before they died themselves.
It’s not clear on how old Mireya is, and they don’t know this themselves.
Mireya doesn’t care for anyone, but I do want them to eventually get character development that leads them to being someone decent. They don’t even take care of themselves…

Verdant Pact is the Main guild, with 3-5 other guilds to look into, one is going to have an all girl theme.
Kit is an important character since I want her to become an official phoenix slayer. She gets two things, more magic and more trauma!
Me and my friend collab into my work, and together we created two characters that are at the top of the magic heredity, stronger than the gods, called “Embodiment of Order and Embodiment of Chaos.”
Because Fairy Tail didn’t do this, in Velmora, ANYONE is capable of using magic, but they have to sign a contract to be allow to.
Yokai are introduced.
Bryan, Ninari, and Abel’s magics and characters developments are planned, so I would most like to work on Elio and Mireya’s.
After fto s5 finale, because there’s a two and a half year time skip, there are new guild members in the guilds. Am I making all ocs for the four guilds, FUCK NO, but it’s nice for the four guilds to still have more members.
Please yap about the background stuff for your aus ^-^
Like the parts you wouldn't really get to yap about normally
HAIIII sorry it took a while to respond,, I was having a hard time wording out an answer and when I finally did Tumblr. Crashed. And I lost all of what I'd written. At least the ask didn't explode!! Haha I love this working webbed site (sarcasm).
Anyways since I didn't save what I wrote (and I have the worst memory ever), I'm just gonna write out whatever stuff comes to mind and hope it is what you're asking for LMAO
Sooo welcome to another Long Post!! I should tag these with that.
| Evil Allumos AU:
I've previously mentioned this, but I am wary to talk in detail about this AU due to how graphic it can get. That being said I'm not gonna just never talk about this AU because of that, so I'll still give you some info that you the reader can extrapolate yourself.
Mario throughout the first half (ish) of the AU is secretly communicating with Divinus (mainly Lucas) through letters and messages.
Divinus, as one may have guessed at this point, is the last standing 'guild' within Atlantide, or at least the last guild actually fighting back against Allumos.
Allumos knows Mario is secretly communicating with Divinus, but he likes to pretend they don't to mess with him.
Allumos does end up "collecting" Mori; in a scene similar to the one during the GMG party, Allumos approaches the DS (by this time it's gotten all of them) about another DS that he can smell. Of course, the only one who knows about them is Blake. She, of course, didn't give any information but Allumos has his ways around people who don't talk.
Allumos frequently used Blake as a human shield against Brandon and Ritchie's attacks. They have the elemental advantage (storm > lightning, storm > air) so are better suited to take the hits and survive than the other DS. Doesn't mean it never hurts though. It hurts a lot.
On that ^ note, Allumos would take advantage of Mario and Blake's close relationship. When one of them stepped out of line (typically Mario), the other would get punished. Brutally.
Allumos also repeatedly triggered Zata to take control of Colin when it suited him; he was always able to subdue Zata afterwards when needed, but not until after the carnage.
A good portion of all of the guilds die, this is mainly because of Allumos's previous war experience and vast knowledge on tactical fighting. While he mainly relied on Guerilla techniques to catch the guilds off guard, they were also able to organise the DS in a way that made the nine of them a mini army.
Allumos's plan isn't really to take anything over. Moreso to make Atlantide a safe haven for the magic users it perceives as superior (aka the dragon slayers). To do so, he believes all other Magic users must be killed, the average citizen of Atlantide isn't targeted however (as long as they listen to him and only them, of course).
Because the GMG never gets to happen, Future Ritchie never appears, if he did Allumos would've likely taken control of the Dragons (somehow) though. Cassideya is also quickly removed as a threat before she can do anything to disrupt Allumos's plans.
Mania first met Allumos very early on in the canon series, and them being so open about being immune to Dragon Magic only encouraged Allumos further to add it to the list of people Allumos has ruthlessly murdered.
Bryan. Oh poor Bryan. The guilt is eating away at him.
While Viper does have his eyes back in this AU (thanks to Allumos), they're incredibly sensitive, so Viper really only goes out during the night to scout.
Mori is quite literally in a contract with Allumos. They cannot leave even if they wanted to — which they do, mind you.
Hmm okay!!! That's all I can really think of right now,,,, if you wanna know more about this AU specifically feel free to ask, just know if I speak in any more detail about it, warnings will likely have to be given!
| Dragon!Dragon Slayers AU:
Tbh I think this is the one I struggled to speak about this one the most, mainly due to the story structure of this AU. Compared to my rewrite and the E.!A. AU, the story here is much less linear, so there's no real 'background stuff'. It mainly focuses on the slow moving lives of the Dragon!DS, with an even slower emerging plot of the escape of the Dragon King. There are no set 'arcs' that any of the characters really go through, besides Allumos (and thus, kinda Blake), it's just their lives as Dragons. But, I still wanted to speak about this, so I wrote down what I could.
Mario, being raised mostly by figures like Michael, appreciates humanity more than most of the other dragons. Not that they don't care per say, but the difference in life spans causes a kind of desensitisation; humans are like dogs, cute companions that only live a fraction of your life.
I've kind of drawn this scene before (but the art is OLD and BAD so don't look for it I beg) but Patrick is the one to give Allumos's Lacrima to Blake. He literally carved it out of his chest and gave it to the one Magical being he could sense nearby and promptly Almost Died.
Mori, despite being a Lord Dragon, is probably one of the most hated Dragons. Mostly because their preferred diet consists almost entirely of either humans or other, smaller, Dragons. They have one friend and it's Blake, however...
Blake, after many battles to gain the title as Lord of the Skies (and the respect of the other dragons), frequently hides among the clouds and falls into a deep sleep that can last decades. So the Dragons they are friendly with usually don't see him often.
Michael falls into insanity near the end of his life, with the cracks on the Dragon King's Lacrima growing by the day, Michael begins to genuinely see, hear and feel things that aren't there. Upon Allumos's escape, Michael finally passes away, after living for thousands of years.
^ it is fifteen years before Mario and Bryan discover Allumos has escaped. Mario had begun to ignore Michael's letters, not wanting to visit the Temple, and Bryan was not given the knowledge of the Temples whereabouts. In those fifteen years, as we all know, it got into the hands of Patrick, then Blake.
Because of the amount of time that had passed, neither could effectively track where it had gone, and really, who would think to ask the trustworthy Lord that holes up in the Skies for decades at a time. Surely not them.
Colin and Seek (Selena in this AU), are Shadow and Light Dragons, of course. This, notably, means they're some of the closest, when joined, to the powers of the Dragon King. So, despite being close friends, they're not allowed to be near each other, for superstitious fear that it would somehow aid in his escape.
Davis is alive in this AU, though none of the other Dragons (even Viper) actually know that, disappearing very soon after the defeat and entrapment of the Dragon King.
Pelagia, the Dragon Lord of the Oceans, is in constant fights with Bryan due to the elemental differences. Logically, Bryan should yield to the Lord Dragon, however he's stubborn and chooses not to.
Trying to avoid yapping too much about Blake and Allumos (I have an obvious bias but I still wanna be fair!) but I have to say their interactions in this AU are like cocomelon to me; Generally this AU can go two ways: funny, light-hearted redemption esk story featuring moral dubious characters, or evil tyrant gets his body back and Kills Everyone despite their best efforts to stop it. Either way it's moral conundrum after moral conundrum (with a side of finding humanity where it has been forgotten (for BOTH of them)) which I LOVE to write about. Philosophy my beloved!
Patrick does eventually get back to living a mostly normal life with his family — he doesn't die after taking Allumos out of him! Though, once the investigation into where Allumos has gone begins, he certainly has a target on his back, and knowing who he gave the Lacrima to those 14 years ago... Blake has a target on her back too.
Gosh I really need to write some stuff for this AU, I love it so much but I've been so focused on Derecho that I simply haven't had the headspace to.
| Derecho Rewrite:
So for this section I kinda interpreted 'background stuff' as minor character details I wouldn't really have the chance to actually show, mention or expand upon within the rewrite itself. So I answered based on that, hope it answers well enough!!
Quite a long-standing headcanon of mine is that Michael|Melanthios is intersex, there isn't really a true "reason" for this, it's just something I like to HC that I'm adding to my rewrite. That being said, the most it'll actually get commented on is how Melanthios and Lilac struggled to have Sabrina (due to Melanthios being intersex). Because Earthland has less advanced medicine, I doubt they even have terminology to even describe intersexuality.
Allumos has a slight case of prosopagnosia, also known as face blindness! This is purely tied to Allumos's psyche however, as even when he possesses Pádraig's body, someone who doesn't have prosopagnosia, it still experiences it. This often distresses Allumos as the other traits he relies on to recognise people now overlap heavily with the people they knew in the past. An easy (and intentional tee hee) example is Ritchie and Ricarro: both are tall, have blue hair, and are generally shirtless a lot of the time, and upon Allumos first meeting Ritchie, he had a beard, just like Ricarro had. On top of the name similarities, Allumos struggles a lot.
All Slayers have unique physiologies that derive from their body adapting to the Slayer Magic. In the Triad (aka God, Devil and Dragon Slayers), their body's adaptations are often most visible:
God Slayers tend to have the most fuller (and less visibly muscular) builds to compensate for the energy used to withstand the shear power of the God inside them. They also heal quicker, are naturally stronger and faster than the average Mage, tiring slower as well. There Form-specfic adaptations that can arise too, e.g. Luca is capable of breathing under water (even without his gills). God Slayer Magic also gradually warps their non-Force form as well. There is no typical way this can show however, as it largely depends on the Gods' elemental domain. Unlike with Devil and Dragon Slayers, there are no preventative measures that can be taken against this, but it can be made worse due to overuse or using the Magic too young. Typically a God Slayer has a natural resistance to all Magic Types, but not so much as to make them untouchable. God Slayers also need to frequently interact in some capacity with their element to reinforce the connection with their God.
Devil Slayers tend to be very lean and muscular, with it being a legitimate struggle at times to gain weight; The body has to burn through excess fat quickly to maintain the body's natural functions against the Devil Magic. They naturally heal quickly (though not as fast as GS), are generally unnaturally tall, and have a higher stamina. When the Lacrima is placed correctly, the Magic is less likely to warp the individual's appearance, however under strenuous circumstances changes can be seen. When their Magic does show up, it typically is referred to as "Blight", with the appearance akin to the first stages of necrosis (though there generally isn't any decay). When they gain further features, they're usually animalistic, such as a tail, elongated ears and at times their limbs change form too. These adaptations tend to be similar across Forms and Types, with only minor variations. Enhanced senses can be seen within Devil Slayers whose bodies have developed animalistic features. Devil Slayers need to maintain a positive relationship (or something like it) with their Devil to avoid the Magic eating them alive.
Dragon Slayers have the most varying body types, as it is usually directly tied to their Magic Form, and their Dragon's physiology, rather than the Dragon Magic itself. Earth DS tends to be more muscular and wide, whereas Sky DS are more lean, for example. Draconic Magic has the opposite of a healing factor — typically a Dragon Slayer will heal slower than the average human, largely due to the Draconic Magic slowing down the body's natural functions to elongate their lifespan. However, all Dragon Slayers are far better suited to high altitude conditions, have a higher lung capacity, and a better resistance to both high pressure and high levels of G force (+ acceleration). This effect is especially visible in Dragon Slayers under the Sky Type. Dragon Slayers will develop enhanced senses, especially smell and hearing, even without Magic overuse. Their eyes are also far more reflective than normal humans. Similar to God Slayers, Dragon Slayers gradually become more Draconic over time, though to a lesser extent: slit eyes, pointed ears and teeth and claws all naturally happen to every Dragon Slayer, though more severe features are dependent on the age and Magic usage. Unnatural eye and hair colours are symptoms of Magic overuse, similar to Devil and God Slayers. Dragon Slayers can also develop "scale scarring" in which the placements of scales in their Dragon Force begin to appear as markings even in their non-Force form, this is largely due to Magic overuse.
Phew that was a lot! The case is similar with other Slayer Types, like Phoenix, Spirit and Beast Slayers, but I just figured I'd keep it to the Triad for now.
Allumos used to have to use Celestial Keys to access the Spirit specific Magic, however after the Lacrima they're not really... Fully human...anymore. So he's just able to connect to the Zodiac without any Keys, however it still needs Silver Keys to access the Magic of a non-Zodiac (aka Minor) Celestial Spirits.
I've "assigned" quite a diverse amount of cultures to the cast, and I do wanna try and highlight each of them to the best of my ability, even if they technically didn't originate from the real world country and just the fantasy version of it.
It was a minor topic of discussion in s4 episode2 of Bri's POV (and probably others as well but that's what I'm gonna reference here) that the Protectors have a tiny bit of a corruption problem — mainly in the form of arresting people that don't deserve to be arrested. I think tackling the subtle corruption of a force intending to be good in the world would be really neat, so when I'm able to I want to write some stuff about that.
Worship is a larger part of my rewrite. Personally I'm atheist, but I'm super interested in theology and I believe religion does have its place in the world, so I'd like to explore that within my rewrite. It'd be a good way to comment on those with religious trauma (God Slayers, potentially Devil Slayers too) as well as understanding forces that use religion as a mask to hurt others (Biblico, primarily the Devil that speaks to him claiming he's god). Also religious worship always gets very complicated when the world Knows that the figures Really Do Exist, writing about societies that worship the divine figures while knowing for certain that their worship is being seen would be fun. It'd also be cool to comment on how God Slayers are perceived because they have essentially trapped a worshipped God within themself. Overall a very interesting topic all around.
Environmentalism is a core part of my personal belief system, that being said, the theme will be present within my rewrite!! Whether it will be shown through the destruction of nature from fighting or how the naval based city-state that is Atlantide treats the water (as well as the creatures within the water) it's so dependent on. Honestly the comment made by Blake within one of her episodes about how, because Atlantide is a big city, they can't see the stars as well, REALLY stuck with me, and kinda influenced me to consider how the Mages interact with the environment more than I probably would've if I hadn't watched it.
Another aspect is Community. Oh I'm such a sucker for a good well working community who will come together for each other. A key theme within my rewrite can essentially be boiled down to "you cannot do this alone" or "you cannot create change as one person"; whether that be characters being narratively punished for not helping or sticking with people, or narratively rewarding characters that work together, I want the message to be clear. While it was a bit of a theme within FTO itself, there were times like the Future Ritchie arc that I felt could've done WONDERS to reinforce the values of working together and relying on each other when necessary. So yeah. Two themes that I want to be basically plastered all over my rewrite lol.
Uhm so, I've kinda realised those last three points especially may not answer the question fully? Oopsies. Outside of that however I don't have too much to say without a prompt if that makes sense. I think I've written enough for it to suffice though, so I'll leave it there!
| (Bonus!) When The Stars Died:
Soo I haven't spoken about this in a while, mainly cause, again, I've been so focused on Derecho I haven't had the chance. But, this was originally going to be an event within my rewrite until, after figuring some stuff out with Derecho's story, I realised it'd be better suited to be an AU of it. At this point I plan to make this a fic — I have chapters drafted n all — I just need to find the actual time to sit down and write it all out, I don't wanna abandon another fic! That being said, I figured it'd be fun to mention it :3.
The story would mainly follow Allumos — though some chapters/parts would stray to other characters when necessary. All of Atlantides population, both Wizard and civilian, have been transformed into monsters, with the Dragon Slayers left as the only normal people left. The Dragon Slayers have to navigate the hostile landscape, trying to figure how this happened and how to fix it, without getting killed in the process. Little do they know, this is the work of a very powerful God, Imir.
I'll leave that small description there :3, don't want to spoil too much!
AND WE'RE DONE!!!!!! Man I have a headache I think I've been writing this for ?? Two,, hours???? Or something. I need food. I love writing out these long posts and just getting to YAP but my lord does it take quite a bit of energy to do! I'm gonna eat a brownie now 😋😋 and THANK YOU FOR THE ASK 💜💜💜💜💜 I REALLY APPRECIATE GETTING THEM AND ITS SO NICE TO KNOW PEOPLE ARE INTERESTED IN MY AUS!!!!! Sorry again that this took a while to answer, and if my answer wasn't sufficient lol.
