Adrianna was aware that they had people to take care of their battle wounds, but she found it unnecessary when she could do it herself. The sad truth was, she had been forced to learn. The brunette had not always been the ruthless lieutenant she was now. Once upon a time, she had been a thin girl with too much rage that it rattle her body. She could vividly remember her first few times in training: she had been so angry and tactless. All she could do was punch until her knuckles were bloody and tainted red. Afterwards, she had learned skills. Now her punch had a proper aim. Still, that did not keep her from getting wounds every day. The girl still held that rage that drove her to run until her lungs felt like they were on fire, and she collapse to her knees. She still punched a bag until pain ran through her arm. 

She continue to push herself. Many distracted themselves with a book, cooking, or some domestic hobby. Adri, she got off on the adrenaline and pain. It was because she knew that she would never be perfect. That this human body with red blood coursing through its vein was weak. Every scar she gain meant a step closer to perfection. It meant that she had won another battle. Let it be from practicing too hard or a successful raid. 

That evening she crashed in Andy’s and Kris’ place, needing some private place to clean her own wounds. There was absolutely no shame when it came to being in front of those girls. They had seen her at her best and worst. 

Adrianna bit down on her lip as she cleaned her wound on her back, standing before a mirror, shirtless. Her dark eyebrows coming together as winced at the slight pain that came from this healing process. “Fuck,” she cursed under her breath, but continue anyways. Completely ignoring the other two girls that were in the other room for the time being. That was until one of them spoke. 

“I’m sitting pretty in my brand new scars.” She heard Kris comment lighthearted behind her, making her pause for a few moments and turn her head to look at her. Even through the small pain she was in, Adri manage to smirk.
