tumblr is a website full of funny posts and great art and also people being wrong about things that you never thought you'd see someone be wrong about and people finding new and creative ways to be misogynistic in such a way that it appears woke to the untrained eye

just saying, if you see a post online and feel the need to say something alone the lines of “i’m not online enough for this” or “this is like a discourse iceberg floating past” then maybe consider that the post isn’t for you

interrupting a conversation between strangers to complain loudly to them about how you don’t understand what’s going on so it must be shallow and pointless is only acceptable behavior online

also like. there are certain subject matters in which proudly saying you don’t know anything about it and it’s beneath you comes off less as coolly disaffected and detached and more as living under a rock

something i think a lot of white people don't understand is that saying racist antiblack things 'ironically' 'as a joke' 'satirically' or 'as bait' is still... just being racist. as if saying 'bait used to be believable' somehow undoes the disrespect? as if pointing out that its probably a bot or a psyop nullifies the slurs? as if informing me that its a meme/copypasta/reference means you're not at fault for repeating them? as if any of this is okay? it doesn't work like that. why is the hatred and disrespect of black people acceptable background noise for you? why do you find it funny?
