When I found myself in the mood for reading marvel fanfictions again this autumn, I never thought this would be the outcome of my decisions.

Especially not after thinking "oh, just let me read the beginning of this one for fun".

But after 250k words, some tears and frantic voice messages of "bro, I don't think it's a joke anymore" to my friends, my obsession with 'Frostbite' by @maiden-of-asgard has reached it's peak.

The five of you stand together on top of the sleigh, your breath fogging the air, admiring the dense expanse of bright stars scattered like diamonds across the inky blue Jotunheim sky. The sounds of the caravan are easily ignored, and for a moment, all you can think about is how very, very small you are - all of you, human and giant and even the gods of Asgard.

Just wanted to say how much I love Frostbite. Reading it helped me get through some tough shit last year, and I was so happy and excited to find such a great fic that I couldn’t put it down. It will definitely live on as my favorite fic. Frostbite gave me such a great escape that it’s so hard for me to forget it, not only in the reading but it gave me a burst of energy in my art that I haven’t had in a while where I felt like I was drawing for myself again. I was so genuinely invested in all aspects of the story that finishing it felt like a piece of my soul was claimed as Frostbite😂. Ya’ll should see my physical copy. The blank spaces are DESTROYED with my commentary LMAO.

@maiden-of-asgard your writing is truly amazing. You got me reading all your other stories! Thank you for all the dedication and love you put into your works :) I appreciate everything you’ve done for the frostbite fam and can’t wait to see more! (I’m sure there’ll be more art from me😂) Keep up the fabulous work and hope all is well!

I made Jötunheim Green Biscuits from the wonderful world of Frostbite! Admittedly a lot less bitter than the giants would like but still the perfect side to a big warm bowl of sea serpent and tuber soup!
