So I have a confession to make regarding this one, I was really reluctant to start it, I could just feel it, this one was going to be one of those books you can´t put down until you´ve finished with it…oh boy I was right.
The book begins in WWII, starting with the first developments of the laws that prohibited almost everything to Jews; although I have to say the reading it´s not as easy yet it´s quite describable. I mean you really could picture the times, the difficulties all the Jewish people had to endure, you could really cry for their loss of everything.
Eva Roselli and Angelo Bianco grew up together, but they are from different worlds, and they both wan different things, Eva is willing to give everything for Angelo, but he doubts himself. As you can imagine, the war made everything so much more difficult; so the promises Angelo made in every aspect of his life are about to be shattered.
I don´t want to give anything away, you have so many surprises in this book, and let me tell you I was glad I could read it, it made me so much more aware of the laws for the Jewish in WWII, and I really was heart broken for Eva and Angelo.
