Will being a secret lab kid and having any kind of real power beyond his connection thing with Vecna is taking over El's storyline. Will grew up with a wonderful mother and brother, and great friends. I'm not against Will's screen time, so I'm not sure why you suggested that, but he has his own character arc that is not Eleven's. Making him a lab kid and/or giving him powers is taking over El's storyline. El is the lab kid, and El has superpowers. Will has his own story that is not those things.
what the fuck is this logic? aside from all the hints that will could well have connections to the lab, like the twin imagery with el, lonnie's dodgy dealings, and will recognising brenner, will is an unfinished character and if revealing more about him in the next fucking entire season shows that all along he was part of the lab dealings, then that will have been the story?! why el fans acting like this is a true story and duffers are just hacking away at the cliff to reveal more markings in the stone?? they fucking created this story and whatever they say, goes! if mike and will kiss at the lake in s5, will they be taking away from stancy because having sexual tension at the lake is stancy's thing??!?! wtf!

Always so goofy. Always so short sided and selfish. WHAT is Will's arc even about if he has such a lovely time of things, people are wild. "Grew up with a wonderful mother and brother and great friends" yeah and his life was fucking perfect? Shut up, El stans. There can be multiple things going on! What boring ways of thinking, that stories must be so separate and in no way can there be twists (that actually make sense if revealed). And isn't there a whole mindset that El is more than her powers? And yet, they always reduce her to them anyway. Sad. That's another thing - too many fans of the show act like it's a real thing and not a fictional story being told.
